Ely’s Etheldreda Fair helped raise hundreds of pounds for the Ely Cathedral Choir tour fund.
Held on Palace Green on Saturday, the event saw dozens stalls offering everything from games and crafts to flowers and raffles to the hundreds of visitors who attended.
As ever, there were plenty of strawberries and champagne on offer throughout the day and attendance was boosted by the arrival of graduates from the Open University, who were attending a ceremony in Ely Cathedral at the same time.
Organisers hope that this year’s event will have raised much needed funds for the choir’s next tour, to Hong Kong.
The choir has toured churches and cathedrals around the world since it’s first overseas trip in 1990, and performs an important ambassadorial role for the Diocese of Ely.
