Ely Watercolour Workshop (E.W.W.) is a friendly community group of people who love to paint with watercolours.
EWW has been running successfully for 24 years with a wide variety of members.
Audrey, who is famed locally for her lovely watercolour cards, is one of the founder member.
One of our younger members has just had her first baby several weeks ago.
There are professional painters and complete beginners: all are welcome and encouraged to exhibit.
Meetings are held every Tuesday evening in Ely community college and in the summer term interesting outside venues are chosen.
Exhibiting gives everyone a chance to evaluate their results.
Artists enjoy stewarding the exhibition, talking to the public and hearing their opinions about the works on show.
In our spring exhibition we will be showing a range of original watercolour paintings and cards every day in the Blue Room of the Almonry restaurant from March 31 to April 7. All works are on sale at affordable prices.
There will also be a chance to win ‘tea for two’ at the Almonry by choosing a favourite picture.
Admission is free but we do choose a local charity to support if visitors care to contribute.
This time any money collected will go to Addenbrookes Children’s Trust.
