MEMBERS of the Ely Theatregoers Club met recently for their annual dinner, this year celebrating the club's 15th anniversary. The event was held at the Soham Lodge Hotel, and after dinner entertainment was provided by the excellent Green Beat family group.

Eileen Pick, founder of the club, assisted Stan Wood, the club's chairman, to cut a special, cut a special Anniversary cake. This was followed by a raffle, the prizes all being on a silver theme.

Diners raised their glasses to the many people who have worked hard over the past 25 years, ensuring the club's continuing success; and to Eileen Pick, now life president, who formed the club in 1981. From her original idea, members now number nearly 400!
