A day to inspire young people into careers in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) was joined by a team of five Year 10 students from Ely College.
The young people attended the STEM day held at Cambridge University and successfully took part in the robot programming project.
They were challenged to navigate a course before lifting and delivering the packaging using its front forks.
The day included lunch and a tour of the Department of Engineering and a sneak preview of the James Dyson Building, prior to its completion.
College students were escorted by WRL coordinator Nikki Pritchett and engineering teacher Andrew Fisher.
STEM Team East is an education charity of 27 years standing.
Its aim is to promote the successes of a STEM education to school pupils and help young people progress onto pathways into STEM careers.
The group works directly with all schools in Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and Bedfordshire and other schools in East Anglia.
