THE Ely Standard has teamed up with the Cambridgeshire Community Foundation (CCF) and The Grassroots Grants Programme to give away £20,000 to community groups and charities.

Last year's Community Cash Giveaway saw more than 25 local community groups and charities receiving a share of the cash. Successful applicants, included Aldreth Community Association, Fenland Jam and Sutton Rangers FC.

To be eligible to make a claim you must be a constituted group (not open to individuals) and been active in the community for at least 12 months. The group must also have an average annual income over the last 3 years of no more than £30,000.

If you would like more information and apply for a share of the £20,000 you need to visit the Ely Standard Community Cash page on the Cambridgeshire Community Foundation website at www.cambscf.org.uk/elystandardcommunitycash.html and complete an online application. You will need to submit some documents, such as copy of a bank statement and your group's rules, but all of this is explained on the web page.

The deadline for applications is Wednesday, June 30, and announcements will be made throughout July and August. The rules state that any money awarded must be spent by the end of December 2020.

If having read the web page you are unsure if your group qualifies, or if you cannot access the information on the web page, you can contact the Cambridgeshire Community Foundation on 01223 410535 or info@cambscf.org.uk for help and advice.
