ELY'S Spring Meadow Infant and Nursery School hosted a summer carnival on Saturday, attracting more than 500 visitors of all ages.
The afternoon began with a colourful parade, which swayed to the beat of the Ely Samba Band, before a packed programme of family entertainment, including singing from children at the school, dancing by St Mary's Movers and football demonstrations from Cambridge United Football Club.
The carnival was organised by the Parent-Staff Association at Spring Meadow, in close collaboration with the school itself and the Vital Communities Project - which aims to bring arts and creative activities to communities and measure the impact they have.
