Ely Rotary Club have presented £1,000 to the Arthur Rank Hospice.
The money was raised at the recent Aquafest and also the Rotary’s annual Christmas collection.
The donation presented at their weekly lunch will help fund vital care and support for more than 1,000 patients and their loved ones per year across Cambridgeshire.
Donna Talbot added “We are so very grateful for the Rotary Club of Ely for helping us to make every moment count. Having secured funds to the value of £6.4 million to date for the hospice appeal, every pound really does count and allows us to move closer to reaching our £10.5 million target.”
John Dennick, rotary president, said: “We are so pleased our donation will be put to such good use, we just wish we could have added an extra zero to further recognise the fantastic work of the hospice and all of its staff.”
