A retirement home in Ely has joined the nation in celebrating Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s big day by hosting a tea party fit for the royals.
Homeowners and staff at McCarthy and Stone’s Roslyn Court in Ely were joined by friends and relatives for afternoon tea and a glass of fizz.
Cheryl Bissett, regional sales and marketing director, said: “Everyone has been captivated by the Royal Wedding; and we wanted to bring local people together to commemorate this very special occasion with a Royal Tea Party.
“So many of our homeowners are great supporters of the Royal Family, and they had a wonderful time raising a toast to the newlyweds.
“We were also delighted to be joined by so many local retirees and their families who not only had a fun day out, but they also had the opportunity to see first-hand what a happy and thriving community we have at Roslyn Court.”
