Hundreds gathered in Ely at the weekend as the city held its Armistice Day and Remembrance Sunday services.
Mayor of Ely, Councillor Richard Hobbs, said: “It was a great credit to Ely.
“The turnout was absolutely amazing on both days to honour those who have given their lives for us.
“The Royal British Legion should be congratulated for the way they have organised the service and parade.
“Over the last few years the number of people has grown and grown, and my thanks go to the Royal British Legion because without them it wouldn’t be the same.”
On Armistice Day, crowds stood silent in front of Ely war memorial to remember The Fallen during a one minute silence.
This year’s Remembrance Sunday parade marched from St Mary’s Church via Minster Place and The Gallery into Ely Cathedral. It was followed by the Remembrance Service in Ely Cathedral.
