WEST End House pub has been voted Ely and District Pub of the Year 2009 by CAMRA, the Campaign for Real Ale.
Pubs have to meet a set of rigorous criteria including a desire to promote a range of local beers and ciders and a conscious effort to promote the pub as a focus of the community to be eligible for the award.
The West End previously won the award in 1997 and proprietors Kim and Stephen Baxter were highly delighted to once again be the recipient of the prestigious accolade.
Mr Baxter said: "We have won the award before but it was nice to have been able to do it again and it's always nice to get recognition."
