PRESIDENT Rosemary Green welcomed members, visitors from Stuntney and Prickwillow and a new member, Cecilia Cooper, to the March meeting.
Birthday greetings and gifts were presented to Ann Williams and Mary Wenn.
The speaker for the evening was Sarah Graves, from the Welney Wetland Centre, who showed slides and gave a talk about Welney through the seasons. After questions from the members she was thanked by Ellen Jones and presented with a donation to the Wetland Fund.
Sarah judged the competition for a photograph of your favourite place. The winner was Chris Cheale and second, Rosemary Green.
After refreshments, served by Meg Murray, there was a competition of anagrams of places in Cambridgeshire. This was won by two of our visitors from Prickwillow, Heather Hopwood and Melanie O'Farrell.
The next meeting will be on Wednesday, April 11, at the Old Dispensary at 7.15pm when the topic will be dealing with incontinence.
