Two Ely men will become Heart Flyers as they skydive 13,000 feet for charity in memory of a “great man” and “true legend” next weekend.
Daniel Mace and Shane Barber will pack their parachutes and jump out of a plane in remembrance of Shane’s father, Terry Barber, who passed away at the end of last year. All of the money raised will go towards helping the British Heart Foundation.
Daniel Mace said: “Terry was a brilliant friend to me and a true legend of a man who is gone but will never be forgotten.
“I wanted to do something challenging and inspiring to help the BHF continue saving lives,” he added.
Shane Barber, Terry’s son, said: “Everyone that knew my dad knew he was a great man.
The skydive takes place on Saturday March 5. It will be followed by an 80s/90s disco at Wilburton Village Hall from 7pm to 11.30pm on March 5.
