ISLE of Ely Lions Club collected a fantastic �1,097.55 for Children In Need on November 20 and 21, by holding collections in the city and at Ely Railway Station.
The Lions were accompanied by their mascot on both days and the total was �300 more than last year's event. The Lions have several events in the run-up to Christmas including helping with the Ely Christmas Lights Switch-On, carol evenings and the prize charity raffle.
