Ely Leo Club have had a busy month. Dressed as the Easter bunny, over Easter they donated eggs and toys to Addenbrooke's Hospital children's wards and the A & E department. The club also enjoyed attending the Ely Lions Club 30th anniversary charter evening celebrating 30 years of their good work in the community.

Most recently, the club attended the National Conference in Luton and were awarded the Travelling Leo Award for most miles travelled around the country helping other Leo clubs and their causes. Ely Leo Club's Richard Morris received the Henry Blakston award for outstanding service to the organisation. He was also voted as the next vice national president for the organisation. The club will have three members serving on the national cabinet next year, a wonderful achievement.

The club also attended the Milton Children's Hospice open day and presented them with a cheque. To round off the month, the Ely Leo Club were at Eel Day on April 28 and raised more than £200, which will be allocated to local charities.
