racMembers of Ely Inner Wheel club played the stepping game at the city’s sailing club with the winner of the final heat being Ena Fernie.
Every year in July, the president’s evening is held to welcome the new president with a social event.
Diana Goldstein, club correspondent, said: “This year proved to be as good as previous ones.
“A delightful buffet meal was enjoyed and as usual members with cooking talent provided the desserts.
“A general knowledge quiz was held later where there was much laughter when we got the answers incorrect.”
Inner Wheel is an international organisation and has just held its international convention in Melbourne, Australia where 1,400 members from 47 countries attended.
