People are invited to a community think tank to give their views on how to improve Ely city centre.

The event is on Monday November 13 at the Maltings in Ship Lane and all are welcome to give their ideas on what can be done to improve neighbourhood policing and tourism in the special community forum.

The event starts at 7pm and is scheduled to end at 8.30pm.

The idea is for people to share their views and concerns to help improve the area.

The think tank has been organised by the tourism and town centre management team.

Councillor Richard Hobbs, city mayor, will introduce everybody to the event while Sgt Phil Priestley follows with an update and a question and answer session on neighbourhood policing in the district

Tracey Harding, tourism manager for East Cambs District Council, will follow with a talk about tourism in Ely.

The event concludes with a round the table discussion on how to improve city centre and tourism when the public will have a chance to give feedback.
