Ely College students grilled politicians and community figures - including MP Sir Jim Paice - during a Question Time event.
The students probed the four-strong panel on issues ranging from the impact of bio fuel production on agriculture to the question of whether schools should have longer days and shorter holidays.
The event was organised entirely by Year 8 students as part of the college’s gifted and talented programme.
It was chaired by coordinator, Jamie Waters, and held at the Ely Methodist Church, in Chapel Street.
The students also each had a turn on the panel.
