Students at Ely College raised money for the Poppy Appeal and held a two-minute silence on Friday morning to mark Remembrance Day.
Students were also at Sainsbury’s Ely in the afternoon selling poppies with the City of Ely Poppy Appeal.
Verity Baker, of the City of Ely Poppy Appeal, said: “Thank you all very much for helping with this year’s Poppy Appeal.
“We will need lots of youngsters in the future to continue with this good cause. We must always remember.”
A spokesman for Ely College said: “Thank you to each and every one of our Turing House students who turned up to Sainsbury’s after school to help on the City of Ely Poppy Appeal stall.
“So polite and respectful and looking very smart in their uniforms.
“The whole school made us proud as we all stopped at 11am to mark Remembrance Day.”
