Children at Ely College completed the ‘smart building challenge’ as part of a science, technology, engineering and maths day.
The STEM day, hosted by Smallpiece Trust, an educational charity, saw Year 8 students tasked with designing and building a system that filters, collects, detects and pumps collected rainwater.
The challenge involved using design technology, maths, science and engineering skills.
