IT was a full house on Monday for our birthday dinner at the Castle Lodge Hotel. It was a time for putting on our finery and relaxing with friends. President Yvonne handed out cards and small gifts to members with June birthdays. Member Helena, an artist, makes all the cards by hand. These are designed with personal touches, so Betty's was decorated with hats, recalling an incident earlier in the year when she was asked to remove hers at The Hereward pub in Ely. Each member received a small gift at the end of the evening.
Our next meeting is on July 10 and will be held in a member's garden. All are welcome.
