More than 1,000 people are expected to visit Ely Cathedral for a charity concert next month.

‘A Festival of Carols’, which is being held in aid of East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH), takes place on Friday December 9 from 7.15pm.

The event will feature music from the choristers and gentlemen of Ely Cathedral Choir, The Ely Imps and Suffolk soprano Laura Wright, who is renowned for her performances on major sporting and royal occasions.

There will also be a series of seasonal readings and poems by BBC Radio Cambridgeshire’s Jeremy Sallis and county High Sheriff Sir David Arculus.

For tickets; £10-£30, call the cathedral box office on 01353 660349 or visit https://tickets.elycathedral.org.
