PREMIER Travel in Ely held another fundraising day for the Lisa Barnes Memorial Fund on Saturday, adding more than £200 to the charity’s coffers.
A raffle was held throughout the day and Premier Travel also agreed to give one per cent from all the holidays sold to the charity, which was founded in 2010 by Ely man Robert Barnes.
The winner of the first prize, two tickets to see Meatloaf at Newmarket Races, were Jes Richardson and Will Gingill, who earlier that day had opened Roly’s Fudge Factory, in Market Place.
Robert said: “I would like to say a big thank you to Shirley Ison and the rest of the team for making the day such a great success. We managed to raise £210 which is a fantastic amount.
“Also, a big thank you to Roly’s Fudge Factory who have agreed to have a collection box in there shop for Lisa’s Fund.”
