AN ELDERLY woman suffered serious but not life threatening injuries following a robbery in Burwell on Saturday (April 10).
The incident happened at around midday as the 80-year-old woman walked along the footpath between Parsonage Lane and Newnham Lane. A man cycled passed the woman and grabbed her bag, causing her to fall over.
The woman was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital and has since been discharged.
The man is described as wearing a grey hooded fleece.
DC Kevin Sutcliffe, investigating, said: "This has been a traumatic experience for the victim who was left in a lot of pain following her fall.
"I would urge anyone with any information about this robbery to contact me.
