WRITER Edwin Page has proved he's a real card when it comes to making you laugh.

So much so that major greetings card companies are keen to get his designs into the shops under their own brand name.

Giant UK independent, Paperlink, is the latest to take Edwin's humorous designs for a range of birthday cards.

Edwin, 33, of Potters Lane, Ely, has come up with funny cards for both adults and children which will be marketed by the company.

He is also publishing a range under his own brand name, Tee Hee Cards.

"To come up with jokes for greetings cards you choose the usual suspects as subjects - booze, age, sex, diet,

computers," he said.

"I started writing jokes for greeting cards but got all my ideas rejected about five years ago.

"Then I dug them out and one of the creative directors from Hallmark asked me to work with them."

That was three years ago and Edwin has built up a successful freelance business watching his cards sell across the country.

Edwin has also written the Quintessential Tarantino, about the life and works of the writer and director behind successful films, Reservoir Dogs and Kill Bill among others, and a psychological thriller, Minos.

He has another novel being published this summer.
