Actress Linda Marlowe is coming to Ely to run an acting masterclass with the National Youth Arts Trust.

The trust is inviting members of the public to an open rehearsal taking place on Saturday, June 20, as part of the Isle of Ely Arts Festival.

The rehearsal will take the form of a masterclass run by Ms Marlowe, who has worked with Steven Berkoff over a 25 year span as leading lady in most of his plays, touring internationally and in London’s West End.

She is currently appearing in the BBC’s EastEnders as Sylvie Carter.

Ms Marlowe said, “I am very much looking forward to working with the young participants at the youth theatre and sharing my experiences in the theatre with them.”

The National Youth Arts Trust’s Ely youth theatre group started meeting in February and, since then, its members have been hard at work devising short scenes, working on monologues and character development.

The open rehearsal is taking place at 3pm, in the Hayward Theatre, at King’s Ely.
