East of England Co-op Funeral Service has opened a branch in Ely, the company’s first in Cambridgeshire.
Claire Needs, who manages the Prickwillow Road branch, has lived in Littleport, for more than a decade.
She said: “The loss of a loved one can be distressing; we do everything we can to make things a little easier, ensure people’s loved ones’ last wishes are fulfilled and to make sure the funeral is unique and reflects the individual. It’s the little things that count.”
The Ely branch, which opened on November 4 and has a reception area and a Chapel of Rest, is open Monday to Friday from 9.30am to 4.30pm.
