A CHARGE of assault was denied by two Ely men when they appeared before a district judge sitting at Cambridge Magistrates’ Court.
Leon Franklin, 24, of High Barns, and Ryan Graham, of High Barns, are accused of assaulting Nathan Harris in Ely on February 11.
Their trial was set for April 25, and both men were given conditional bail.
The two men had earlier been charged with causing an affray on February 11, but that allegation was withdrawn against them both. Franklin had also been charged with using threatening behaviour in Cambridge on February 3, but that was dismissed by district judge Ken Sheraton.
