DRUNKEN shoplifter Peter Rose stuffed a dozen cans of lager up his jumper and walked out of the Co-op store in Littleport without paying for the booze, magistrates heard this week.
Rose, 23, went into the shop in the middle of the afternoon on September 3, and was spotted on CCTV as he stole the alcohol.
He was later arrested, and admitted that he had acted stupidly while drunk.
Appearing at Ely courthouse, Rose, of Saffron Close, Littleport, admitted stealing the 12 cans of Stella Artois lager, worth £11.99.
"It was a stupid thing to do, and I apologise," he said.
Rose was fined £105, and ordered to pay £11.99 compensation, £100 costs and a £15 surcharge.
