A DRUNKEN wman shuted racial abuse in Ely city centre befre spitting in the face f a pliceman.
Fifty-nine-year-ld Audrey Gill yelled abuse at ambulance staff, and swre as she bad muthed the English, telling peple n the street she was Suth African.
And when arrested, Gill tld plice: "I hate the English; I have always hated them since I mved here."
Gill, f Lantern Curt, High Street, Ely, shwed n remrse when she explained t fficers she culd nt remember the incident, because she had drunk t much alchl.
At an earlier hearing, Gill had admitted being drunk and disrderly n December 10, and assaulting
PC Mark Beaven in the executin f his duty.
Gill was jailed fr three mnths by Cambridge magistrates back in September fr an ffence f assault, n the back f a string f ther alchl related ffences, prsecutr Emma Dmitriev tld Ely magistrates.
"Plice were called t the High Street n December 10, Gill was abusive t ambulance staff, she refused treatment and decided t walk hme," said Mrs Dmitriev. "She started t shut in full hearing f fficers."
Plice warned Gill abut her language, and when she cntinued t swear, she was arrested.
"She deliberately spat in PC Beaven's face, he reacted t stp the spittle hitting him. The fficer said he was disgusted; it was humiliating t be spat at in public. It was nt knwn if the defendant had any cntagius disease; the Crwn takes a very serius view f spitting."
Slicitr Nick Barnes tld magistrates: "Clearly this behaviur was whlly unacceptable.
"Alchl has been an entrenched issue in her life fr sme time. She is supprted by her husband, she is sber, and bth are desperate t tackle this issue."
Gill is a trained receptinist and is lking fr wrk, he added.
The curt gave Gill a tw-year cmmunity rder, and rdered her t pay £150 cmpensatin t the plice fficer, and £60 csts.
"The rder will allw smene t mnitr and review yur patterns f behaviur and turn yu int a better persn," said presiding magistrate Bryant Watsn.
