A drunk driver was arrested in Ely after they were found to be nearly four times over the legal limit.

PC Guy Spencer of Ely Police Station arrested the driver on the evening Friday February 19 following a number of calls from other motorists about the manner of the motorist’s driving.

The driver was pulled over and blew 125 on a breathalyser test – nearly four times over the legal limit. The driver was subsequently arrested.

PC Spencer said: “Drink driving is simply one of the most dangerous things anyone can do. My advice is leave the keys with a friend and get a taxi home.”
