FURIOUS Joanne Bryant threw a bottle during an argument with her boyfriend in Ely, smashing the window of a nearby home.

Resident Dennis Danter had been sitting in his living room when he heard the noise of breaking glass, and went outside to see someone cycling away, Ely magistrates heard on Thursday.

Drug user Bryant, 24, of Bell Holt, Ely, had earlier admitted causing £200-worth of damage to Mr Danter's window on January 3, and also admitted that the offence put her in breach of a conditional discharge.

She further admitted a list of motoring offences, driving without insurance or an MoT certificate on September 26 and September 30 last year, and driving a car with a broken windscreen and defective lights on September 30.

Bryant had also admitted breaching her community rehabilitation order by missing an appointment with the probation service.

Mitigating, James Yardy said Bryant had been "at her lowest ebb" when she damaged the window last month.

"She really is trying to stabilise her methadone prescription," he said, "and she is working with a Cambridge drugs agency."

Bryant was given a two-year community order with a supervision requirement, and was told to pay £200 compensation for the window. She was banned from driving for one year.
