FIVE men arrested after drugs raids in East Cambridgeshire will appear in court again later this month.

Vietnamese born Van Thien Nguyen, was arrested and charged with producing cannabis after drugs squad officers raided his home in Brooke Grove, Ely.

He was remanded in custody and will appear before Cambridge Magistrates on January 19 when he will be committed for trail at Cambridge Crown Court.

Four other men face charges of supplying drugs after raids in Ely, Littleport and Soham two weeks before Christmas.

Clifford Harris 30, of New Barns Avenue, Ely has been charged with 12 counts of supplying heroin and possessing heroin; Simon Gregory, 39, of Woodfen Road, Littleport faces nine charges of supplying heroin, being concerned in offering to supply heroin and possession of a Class A drug; Robert Busby, 37, of Wisbech Road, Littleport faces three charges of supplying crack cocaine and Martin Quince, 25, of Wisbech Road, Littleport, two charges of supplying heroin and two charges of supplying crack cocaine.

All four, who were remanded in custody, appeared at Cambridge Magistrates Court on December 20 by video link and had their cases adjourned until January 16.
