Drug Addict Threatens To Gouge Boy's Eyes Out and Eat Them!

AMPHETAMINE addict Lee Wiseman grabbed a frightened schoolboy in the street and threatened to gouge out his eyes and eat them.

Wiseman also told the 15-year-old: "I am going to take you home and treat you like a hamster," Ely magistrates were told.

The incident happened in Globe at Littleport when Wiseman jumped out of a car and approached two teenage boys and their girlfriends on September 26.

"He threatened verbal violence towards one boy, who was so frightened that he ran away," said Angela Sassoli, prosecuting.

"Wiseman then turned to the second boy, grabbed him around the throat and neck, and put pressure on his throat with both hands. He made various threats."

When arrested, Wiseman said he was an amphetamine addict. He had not taken drugs for six days before the incident, but had been drinking alcohol.

"He said he heard a commotion and asked the driver of the car to go towards it, thinking someone needed assistance," said Mrs Sassoli. "He saw this group and believed they were responsible."

The boy who ran way from Wiseman told police he escaped because he believed he was about to be hit.

A statement from the second boy said: "He was crushing my jaw, trying to rip my face off." Wisemen then threatened to gouge his eyes and take him home. Neither boy was injured.

Wiseman, 25, of Friars Place, Littleport, had admitted assaulting the two boys on September 26, and using threatening behaviour on September 7.

Mitigating, Christina Metcalfe said Wiseman accepted he grabbed one boy around the face and neck, trying to restrain him.

"He was worried that girls had been assaulted in some way, he had misread the situation," she added. Wiseman could not remember threatening to gouge the boy's eyes or take him home, but did not dispute saying it.

Sentencing was adjourned until March 12.
