A driver has been hospitalised with serious but not life-threatening injuries after a crash this morning on the A10 between Stretham roundabout and Little Thetford.

The driver was taken to hospital by air ambulance after the collision which involved a Vauxhall Insignia and Ford Focus.

The road was closed due to the incident, which happened at 7.40am, but has since re-opened.

East Cambs Police advised drivers to use alternative routes via their Twitter page and a fire crew attended the scene.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact police via 101 and speak to PC 1060.
