A DRIVER who failed to stop after colliding with a car at a mini roundabout in Soham has been fined 200.
Ramdas Mahase, 23, of West Drive, Soham, admitted careless driving, failing to stop after the accident in Sand Street, Soham, on August 20, and failing to report the incident to police within 24 hours.
Helen Ogden had been driving over speed humps when Mahase was close behind her, said prosecutor Laura Mardell.
She allowed him to pass, and he hit her car and then drove off, causing some denting and grazing, and a scuff to the bumper.
Mahase told the court he had spoken to Ms Ogden before the accident, when she had asked why he was so close behind her. He had explained he was approaching the roundabout. "I drove round her and clipped her car," he added.
