The A10 reopened at approximately 1pm.

The overturned lorry was carrying 1,000 bags of potatoes led to both lanes of the A10 at Stretham being closed.

The police spokesman said:” A police spokesman said: “We were called at about 4.05am this morning (Tuesday) with reports of an overturned lorry carrying potatoes on the A10 at Stretham, near Ely.

“It looks like the lorry has jack-knifed and is partially in a field, blocking both lanes.

“The road has been closed from the Lazy Otter junction and is likely to remain closed until midday.

“About 1,000 bags of potatoes need to be moved before vehicle recovery takes place.
