DRINK-driver Dean Martin turned his car on to its side when he drove out on a Saturday afternoon to buy petrol.
"Police found his Astra car on its side, almost in the dyke," prosecutor Paul Brown told Ely magistrates.
Martin gave a breath test reading more than double the legal limit; it was 83 mcgs of alcohol in 100 mls of breath, when the legal limit is 35 mcgs.
Pleading guilty to drink-driving, Martin told Ely magistrates: "It was my own stupidity."
He was banned from driving for 20 months; fined 260, and must pay another 100 in costs and surcharge.
