It may have been more than a fortnight since she completed the London Marathon but Sophie Harris-Bennett found fresh cause for celebration this week after smashing her fund-raising target for the homeless charity, Shelter.
Twenty-five-year-old Sophie, who lives in Wilburton, has already raised £1,283 and money is still coming in.
She said: “I had hoped to raise a few hundred pounds but family, friends and even complete strangers have been so generous. It’s made all the training - and the after-marathon aches and pains - worth it.”
Her fund-raising page is still open at www.virginmoneygiving.com/SophieBennett2
