A CHARGE of drink-driving has been admitted by 33-year-old Ely man Shawn Blackman.
But Blackman claims he was driving in an emergency, and will ask magistrates not to ban him.
The case was adjourned until January 3 and he was given unconditional bail.
Blackman, of Fitzgerald Close, Ely, gave a breath test reading of 49 mcgs of alcohol in 100 mls of breath, when the legal limit is 35.
