Children stepped back in time to thousands of years ago when T-Rex’s walked the earth during a dinosaur-themed crafts morning at Ely Museum.

Held as part of the museum’s half-term activities, the workshops are run by a group of seven volunteers.

Sarah Adderson, assistant curator at Ely Museum, said: “It went very well, it was a lovely morning with lots of children enjoying themselves making and decorating dinosaur crafts.”

And why should children come along if they’ve not been to one of the workshops before?

“It’s a fun opportunity to have fun, get hands on and see the museum at the same time.”

The next two crafts mornings are being held during the Easter half-term – on April 5 and 12, from 11am-12.30pm.

Admission costs £3 per ticket and the sessions are suitable for children aged five to 11.

Advance booking is required as places are limited. Call 01353 666655, email admin@elymuseum.org.uk or pop into the museum to book a space.
