A LORRY driver will appear in court today charged with causing the death of a Soham man by careless driving.
Father of-one Anthony Rowlands, 32, of Martin Close, was driving a white Ford Escort van which collided with a lorry carrying bales of straw at 7.15am on January 3 in Fordham.
The B1102 Station Road was closed between the A142 Market Street junction and the Toyse Lane junction following the collision, which happened at Chalk Farm.
The driver of the lorry, Dean Griffin, 25, of Barnstaple, in Devon, will appear at Cambridge Magistrates’ Court.
