A RECOVERY worker who supports adult drug users with their treatment has been recognised for her commitment and passion.

Debbie White-Howles works for Cambridgeshire Inclusion, based in the Ely office. She was named Support Worker of the Year at South Staffordshire and Shropshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust’s annual staff awards.

The Positively Different Awards are designed to recognise exceptional contributions to service, by individuals and teams, by clinical and non clinical staff. Over 120 nominations were received for the 10 awards and judges had a hard task selecting the winners.

Trust chief executive Neil Carr said: “This ceremony offers an opportunity to demonstrate the value we put on our staff. Debbie is valued for her dedication to service users and for her care for fellow colleagues. She was nominated by her peers as someone who is an inspiration and asset to the team and she is a very worthy winner of this award.”
