POLICE are urging Soham and Littleport residents to cast their minds back to the early part of the year in a bid to help them trace people picked up on CCTV cameras in the towns.

Officers investigating a shoplifting incident in Soham on February 17 are anxious to speak to a man who could help with their inquiries.

Police are also searching for witnesses after a CCTV camera was damaged in Granby Street, Littleport between 11pm and 11.30pm on January 24.

Ely Police detective constable, Terry Bandoo, said: "Although a period of time has passed since the incident, all other lines of investigation to help identify the offenders have failed. Any information you have, no matter how small or insignificant, could help us find out who was responsible for this damage, so please call."
