A LITTLEPORT woman handed over a cheque for more than £650 to Crossroads Care in Cottenham after completing a 10-kilometre run in March.
Kerry Giles Brown finished the Daffodil Run in Kelmarsh, Northamptonshire, in memory of Peter Stanley, who she looked after in her role as a Crossroads carer before he lost his battle with cancer.
Crossroads is the largest organisation that offers support for full-time carers providing respite care for people, and Ms Giles Brown helped Mr Stanley's wife, Ellen, who joined her in Northamptonshire to support her run.
"I wanted to do the run in memory of Peter and I'd really like to thank Ellen for coming," Ms Giles Brown said.
Dr Helen Brown, chief executive of Crossroads Care, praised Ms Giles Brown for her efforts in her caring role and as a fund-raiser.
"Kerry found a very good relationship, supporting the wife of Peter Stanley," she said.
