Organised by the Soham Benevolent Association, the carnival and show saw a packed day of fun and games on the town’s recreation ground, in Fountain Lane.

Wowing the crowds this year was Moto Stunts International, who performed a range of motorcycle, quad bike and car stunt shows in the main arena after the heavy horse show finished at 1pm.

There were also displays by a dog search and rescue team, BMX and scooter competitions, a live music stage, magic and majorette displays, stalls, inflatables, a bar, barbecue and more.

The traditional carnival parade left Qua Fen Common and run from Townsend through High Street and arrived in the main arena at 1.30pm, where judging was carried out. The carnival prince and princesses were also crowned, along with the townsperson of the year.
