Award-winning crime novelist Elly Griffiths is heading to Fenland for not one, but two events.

"It was irresistible!" says bookseller David Learner at Toppings in Ely.

"We were delighted when Elly accepted our invitation to join us for an evening in Ely Cathedral on Tuesday February 22 and then I noticed the date."

A second event, at Manea Village Hall, was quickly scheduled (with the permission of the Queen of Crime herself) for 2pm.

Elly Griffiths has won major awards for her writing on both sides of the Atlantic.

In the US, she was the recipient of the Edgar Allan Poe award.

While in the UK, she’s been shortlisted for the Gold Dagger in the Crime Writer’s Association Awards and has won the Dagger in the Library award.

The Locked Room, the book she’ll be talking about at Manea and Ely, is her 14th novel in the Ruth Galloway series, set in the flatlands of Norfolk.

More details on how to book for both events can be found online.
