MARGARET and Arthur Smith of Littleport celebrated their Blue Sapphire wedding anniversary on August 1.
After 65 years together, Margaret, 82 and 86 year-old Arthur say that the secret of a happy marriage is to "be understanding and tolerant towards your partner and pull together during the hard times."
"You have to be there for each other," says Margaret. "We are both disabled now and we help each other as much as we can".
The couple met in Littleport and have lived in the same house since 1962.
They celebrated their anniversary with a party at the Ex-serviceman's Club on July 28 which was attended by more than 80 family and friends.
