SUNDAY morning's praise and worship was led by Andy Watson. The Sunday School children met in the hall for their lesson, led by Joanne Sammons. John Baddcock led the church service which was based on Isiah chapter 6 and was followed by Holy Communion. After the 5.30pm Prayer Meeting Pastor Lowman gave the message based on Genesis 4. The men's prayer group met on Monday evening and the Ladies Prayer Fellowship met on Tuesday. Today (Thursday) the ministers for the churches in Ely met for their time of prayer and to share what they were doing about the Lord's work in their respective churches. The services next Sunday will be taken by Pastor Lowman. The morning will be based on Contend for the Faith from the book of Jude. The evening will be based on Psalm 23 "Christian Contentment". The Impact Singers, a five person male voice choir will be presenting a programme of songs in English and Romanian at the church in Chapel Street, on Monday, September 18 starting at 7.30pm. The choir is on a short tour in this area raising funds to support the Maranata orphanages in Romania. There is no entrance fee but a collection will be taken up in support of its work. For more information ring the Rev. Gordon Lowman on 01353 662396.
