AT the Fellowship Hour on Wednesday March 8, Colin Creswell gave a talk and slide show on the land of Malawi. The slides were very informative and gave an insight of what is happening out there amongst the Christian community. A donation afterwards was given to the work there. Sunday mornings praise and worship was based on the centrality of Jesus. He as 'King of Kings' and 'Lord of Lords'. During a time of prayer led by Mr. K. Waters, intercession was made on behalf of the community, people's needs and the crises within the World. Pastor Lowman spoke on the two of the Beatitudes ' Blessed are the poor in spirit' and 'Blessed are those who mourn'(St Matthew chapter 5 verses 3 and 5). He dwelt upon the practical and spiritual aspects of them. Prayer was also available for those who requested it. The evening service of praise and worship was led by Mr Tim Bellinger. Mr A Booth and Mrs Louise Lomax read the scripture lesson. Pastor Lowman's sermon was based on "Lost Things" Luke 15 v. 1-32 'The Lost Coin', 'The Lost Sheep' and 'The Prodigal Son' reference being made to how concerned Jesus is towards these who are outside of the Kingdom and need to be brought into the 'Light of Jesus'.

The elders and deacons met for their monthly meeting on Tuesday evening. Tomorrow (Friday) evening 'Rock Solid' are holding a quiz night at the Lighthouse Centre. The money raised will help send young people aged 11-15 years to an evangelistic event later in the year.

The morning service on Sunday will be a family service led by Mr. Brian Mitchell. The evening service will be led by Pastor Lowman and also will include Holy Communion.
