DAVID and Sue Green led the Family Service on Sunday morning. The theme of the service was based on 'creation'. Puppetry, Bible readings and hymns were all relative to creation. Under the chairs in church, cuddly toys had been placed which the young people collected, and then the toys were put into families of cows and sheep etc. Joanne Sammons read a story about two hippos. As it was Mothering Sunday, all the ladies were given either a polyanthus or primrose. In the evening, Pastor Lowman spoke of 'physical suffering and pain'. Mr A Watson, previous to the sermon, had led the people in worship. Holy Communion celebration was a time of reflection and communion with the Lord as to his suffering on the cross. The Fellowship Hour on Wednesday afternoon was taken by Captain Boyd and the Littleport Salvation Army. The weekly prayer sessions were also celebrated during Tuesday and Wednesday evening. The Sunday morning service next week will focus on the 200th anniversary of the passing of the abolition of the slave trade bill.

The Youth Service in the evening will have the Rev Jim Mullin as the speaker. Young people from the various churches in and around the city are welcome to attend.
